Increase in Women Gamblers at Microgaming Casinos

Bellerock Entertainment, a leading online gambling group who represents Microgaming online casinos such as Jackpot City online casino and Riverbelle online casino, has revealed that according to a recent survey conducted by them, the number of women wagering online at the online casinos has grown four times since 2007.

Bellerock also revealed that the reason why Microgaming online casinos have become so popular amongst women is because they are drawn to the 100s of online slots that specifically attract women.

Further interesting new gambling statistics regarding the UK market also show that there are currently just as many women playing online as men as 48.38% of all online gamblers in the United Kingdom are women, compared to 51.62 who are men. These statistics differ tremendously to the results of surveys done four or five years ago when it was revealed that online gambling in the UK was dominated by male players.

Bellerock Entertainment also issued a statement wherein it revealed that according to the survey there are still differences between male and female players as while the number of women playing casino games online has increased, men are known to vary their gaming activities much more than women.

It was found that men strongly prefer playing roulette, poker and sports betting while women’s preferences are bingo and online slots.

The increase in the number of women who are turning to internet gambling is also due to the fact that online casinos offer more convenient and safer locations where they can play their favorite games.

Microgaming has taken note of this growing trend and is offering more and more female oriented games at their online casinos.
